{Morning Ritual} Lemon Water
Every morning I start my day with a glass of lemon water.
{The juice of 1/2 a lemon in ~ 8 oz warm water}
You can read about some of the benefits of drinking warm lemon water here, but it contains many immune boosting nutrients like Vitamin C, helps keep your skin looking fresh, and can help to kick start your digestion in the morning. While there is a bit of controversy over whether or not lemon water can help to balance the pH levels in your body (which is important for a Candida sufferer!), the general consensus is it still offers many of the other above-mentioned benefits.
Tip: Be sure to drink it through a straw to help prevent damaging your tooth enamel
Citrus scents are also known to have an energizing effect, so it can help you to feel more awake before you even take your first sip! I find lemon water to be a bit gentler on my stomach, although some also like to add Apple Cider Vinegar to their morning routine.
